About the AIDS Memorial Quilt

about a truly international Quilt spirit."The Quilt
Project", has four general aims:
- To provide a positive and creative means of expression
for those whose lives have been touched by the epidemic.
- To illustrate the impact of the AIDS epidemic by
showing the humanity behind the statistics.
- To encourage support for people with AIDS and their
loved ones.
- To promote a compassionate and educational dialogue,
to reduce HIV/AIDS related discrimination and to provide
support for preventative education.
These aims are encapsulated in a simple but challenging
motto:" See it and Understand".
